La strada per arrivare in cima è lunga, se si parla di Rock’n’Roll e i Dirty Honey l’hanno imboccata non da moltissimo tempo, ma la stanno facendo a grandi passi: fuori il 20 maggio 2022 su Dirt Records un album per il mercato europeo che contiene le tracce dei loro ep (2019) e lp (2020) omonimi e self released. 14 tracce che colpiscono tutte per incisività e sicura padronanza del genere. I singoli “When I’m Gone” e “Heartbreaker” sono due numeri pesanti, che ti si piantano subito in testa, c’è un sano e modernamente rivisitato Heavy Blues degli anni ‘70 in brani come “Scars”, eruzioni boogie rock in “Rolling 7s”, e “Down The Road” una ballata elettrica, intensa ed evocativa.
Se non vi siete stancati del Rock’n’Roll vecchia scuola e siete sempre alla ricerca di sangue giovane che lo valorizzi e lo rinfreschi in modo personale, i Dirty Honey fanno sicuramente per voi: questo album non ha punti deboli e vi dà l’occasione di scoprire i lavori della band, insieme ripubblicati in gatefold. La rock band losangelena si appresta anche a imbarcarsi in un lungo tour estivo europeo che li vedrà sui palchi di importanti festival (incluso l’Hellfest), in date da headliner e anche in apertura nientemeno che per Kiss, Guns’n’Roses e Rival Son. La band passerà anche dall’Italia (il 10 luglio a Milano e il 12 luglio a Bologna) e sarà un’ottima occasione per apprezzare la loro miscela di Hard Blues e Rock’n’Roll guidati dalla bella voce di Marc LaBelle, uno che sa graffiare quando vuole e avvolgerti in quelle spire melodiche che la band non disdegna affatto. It’s an honor to finally bring our music across the Atlantic. I’ve always thought we’d be well-received in the UK and Europe and it just felt right to release both the EP and LP together after having had to wait so long to get there. It really feels like the right time to introduce Europe to our particular brand of Filthy rock n’ roll and I also can’t wait to bring our live show to European audiences. Our maiden voyage across the pond is literally hitting every type of venue from our own headlining club shows to theaters with Rival Sons and stadiums with Guns n’ Roses and KISS. I can vividly remember busking in Piazza Santa Croce in Florence and never in my wildest dreams did I think we’d be playing some of the biggest stadiums in Europe.
